Better Prepared
to respond to and recover from large-scale emergencies
West Merica Local Resilience Forum helps communities prepare for emergencies.
We work across organisations to save lives, reduce harm, protect property and the environment, and prevent emergencies from escalating so communities can move safely towards recovery.
Prepare, respond and recover
West Mercia Local Resilience Forum brings together organisations across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire to strengthen the region's resilience to emergencies. The Forum includes lead government departments and agencies, local authorities, emergency services, health, utilities providers, communication providers and transport companies.
These agencies work together when a coordinated multi-agency response will lead to a more effective outcome. Any organisation can request activation of the LRF's arrangements when an incident requires support beyond its own resources.
